Whether you’re auditioning for your first time or your ninety-first time, walking in with the right song and the right preparation changes everything. And that’s exactly where we come in.

Here, you’ll get recommendations from real directors, song suggestions for your voice, your age, and your type, plus practical guides that cover everything you need to be successful in the theatre world.

Meet Megan & Daniel

We’re Megan and Daniel, the wife-and-husband team behind Audition Angel. We each bring over 30 years of theatre expertise to the casting table, including time on professional stages and well over 100 shows performed, directed, music directed, and choreographed.

🎭 Megan has a Bachelor of Arts in Theatre & Dance from the University of New Hampshire, with concentrations in Musical Theatre and Secondary Theatre Education. In addition to an extensive performance resume, she’s directed and choreographed musicals and plays for community theatres and schools, working with performers ranging from age 3 to 70+.

🎶 Daniel earned his Bachelor of Music Education from the University of Arizona, then spent 12 years teaching high school and middle school choir, band, and musical theatre. He has directed and music directed dozens of school and community productions. He’s also a composer with a published musical that has been performed all across the world.

We’ve been on both sides of the audition table more times than we can count: as performers with sheet music in hand, and as directors trying to find the right person for a role. Audition Angel is built on our experience, our love for theatre, and our belief that theatre is for everyone!

It Runs In The Family

Musical theatre isn’t just our thing — it’s what our whole family does. We have four kids (two boys and two girls) who all participate in theatre, and with constant auditions, rehearsals, and performances going on, our household is truly a whole production!

We know what it’s like to prep a monologue at the kitchen table, run lines in the car on the way to callbacks, and celebrate (or commiserate) as a family after a cast list goes up.

That’s part of why Audition Angel exists. We’ve lived the audition process from every angle — as performers, as parents, and as the people behind the table — and we want to offer the support and resources we wish we’d had along the way.

Audition Angel is geared toward community theatre performers at every stage, from newbies preparing for their very first audition to experienced performers who have been doing this for years. Theatre students, teachers, and directors will find plenty here, too. We love Broadway, and for many performers who dream of a professional career, it’s the ultimate goal. But musical theatre is so much bigger than one group of theatres in New York City. Every day, performers in communities around the world are auditioning for local productions, stepping onstage for the first time, returning after years away, or simply looking for ways to get better at something they love.
